Special Interest Data Catalog (SIDCAT).  SIDCAT is a part of interAmerica Analytics (IAA).  It was the early concept used for information sharing.  The SIDCAT concept soon became a data warehouse and on into grander and more complex technologies.

Information Sharing:  The process of exchanging data and/or knowledge.
